It's hard to say goodbye to a much-loved pet.

Finally heard from the Lost Dogs Home! Got an online kitty match appointment booked in for next week. Not sure if I'll get to see any cats or if I'll just be asked some questions about what type of cat I'm looking for.

Had my kitty match appointment today. Got to see a nice-looking 3-year-old male grey/white kitty, but I haven't agreed to anything yet as I'd really like a male black cat between 1 and 2 years old. I know some people say black cats bring bad luck, but not in Australia. Here, they're considered to be good luck.

Aw, I hope you are able to find one soon! I'm more of a kitten person, don't really like them when they grow up.. lol. But they're adorable when they're so little.

There's a cute little female black cat available, her name's Moana, and I'm starting to wonder whether or not I should get a male as I'm concerned about spraying (males are known to spray their pee). I've heard that having them de-sexed may reduce the motivation for spraying, but some still do it.
Anyway, just got a call from the shelter (sent in an enquiry about adopting Moana) and my zoom meeting has been changed to this coming Saturday morning.

Rexy is very food-orientated! Does anyone have any ideas how I can keep her off the table while I'm eating? I've tried distracting her with toys, spraying water on her paws (that scares her, so I stopped) and not feeding her till I'm ready to eat.

I just figured with cats you have to get used to them doing whatever they want. Haha. Other than feeding her before you're ready to eat, so maybe she's already full by the time you get around to eating as well? Or just gently lift her off the table while firmly telling her "No!" until she understands what you want. Sorry I'm not more help with that. I have the cutest puppy that is about six months old and I also have a cat that's fifteen years old. What kind of puppy?

At dinner time, I've started putting Rexy in the laundry with her wet food. That way, I can enjoy my dinner without the cat putting her face in it.

Not sure if I've already replied to this thread; but, I currently have two adorable dogs.
