Ugh, the gas is just killing me. I can't believe how ridiculously high they are getting. Here it's around the $2.50s... and doesn't seem to be dropping. My dad's a geologist and I talked with him the other day about it... told him that he needs to do something about this and make it lower, and he just laughed and said that he's doing his best to try and find all the oil that he can... heheh. But seriously, I think that's one reason I'm kinda confining myself to my apartment... so anyway, what are the prices around you all? And how's it affecting your life?! (for those who drive)

Not much better up here. Though I wish they sold electric cars more, that would be great in my town. Fairport's had a special deal going on since the 50's, our electricity is dirt cheap, comes mainly from Niagara, a little from one of the nuclear places. I want a hovercar like on Back to the Future- with that Mr. Fusion thing in the back that you chuck garbage in to power your car

In some small European countries, it's over the equivalent of $34 a gallon. Just because they have no oil sources of their own, don't do any refining, and barely drive, so the country buys it in very small amounts.

Alright... I think it's like a 2.70 or something.... Remember that Simpsons episode when homer got the huge RV... he was filling it with gas and the thing was at $999, then it ran out of room and he got $1000 of gas free when it flipped over

I paid $36 to put 14 gallons into my Chevy Blazer. It's killing me at $2.58 a gallon here in Texas
I plan to do a story on the high gas prices interviewing people in the town as they gas up...

Include the part about there being no shortage of oil, it's just the petro companies making money hand over fist as they decide to squeeze every cent they can get out of people
