Well, two days ago, I was trying to clean up my computer and remove a bunch of spyware and adware so 1) my computer would run faster, and 2) I could get some work done on my computer. Well I downloaded this thing from a company site that is suppose to help me do this. Once it installed it wanted to restart my computer.. Most programs like that do so I allowed it to. Then when it rebooted I clicked on my name on the log in screen. It logged me in my desktop came up and my start bar came up but nothing else happened. No icons no nothing. So I restarted again the same result. I had downloaded a virus with that adrware remover program thinger. I WAS SOO MAD. I tried to repair windows and remove that program, but it was no use, I ended up having to wipe the hard drive clean and starting from scratch. *i hated my self for not listening to my boyfriend.* He told me to back up my files and stuff on a cd, i didn't listen, so in the whole process I lost all of my graphics, templates, etc and had to start over from scratch. This is the second time I've done something like this. I've learned my lesson and I'm saving my stuff to CD's now lol.... I'll tell you what though it's a pain in the butt to remake all that stuff I was going to have available for downloading on my new site.. It sucks. But out of it I learned how to build a computer, reformat, and re-install a bunch of things I knew nothing about. I learned all on my own without help from anyone

Yeah i had to start from scratch recently, too... What i did used the harddrive that didnt have windows on it for my backup and it worked. I wiped the harddrive with Windows on it but all the files on the drive were saved! Just a piece of advice.
