My DSL was out of service all frickin day yesterday. I called and the told me that the service was down in my area. Well the service was down around San Antonio area...I live next to Dallas, but I was like hey whatever.
I went to Dallas with one of the Officers from my old Dept and came back still down. So I call back and they were like "that outage isn't in your area, I'll have to refer you to a tech, but they won't be in until tommorow." I WAS PISSED
Then the guy calls me and was like "sorry it was our bad, something messed up on our end"
GRRR When I move out I"m getting a cable modem..

hmmm good choice cable never messes up well I take that back, sometimes it kicks me off but it's usually back in about 5 minutes. so that's not too bad. but it rarely messes up in the first place..

I've got DSL and I love it. The cable in my area sucks. I started off with it and after dial-up it was great. I get a faster DSL connection at my house though so it is pretty good for me. I don't think I could go back to using dial-up now. I've got a T-1 at work and it is really sweet.

I've got dsl... Sure, it goes out every now and then. But when I had dial up I got kicked out and there was that annoying dial up noises. With dsl I'm always online, it automatically signs on when I turn on the computer and it's a lot faster than Earthlink.

I've got roadrunner, heehee So amazingly fast. I get on DSL and think it's too slow. BTW guys, for those of you that can't get DSL or cable in your area, DirecTV has the digital internet thing by satellite. I can't imagine a wireless thing to die very often. Roadrunner is good. It hardly ever dies. And they give you a free website.
