well I have a couple rants today. (see the whining thread for the other one) first is I dont understand why guys think it's appropriate to whistle or yell out at a girl and actually think that that is going to flatter her or something. It happened to me today when I was walking out of 7-11 after getting a cappucino and it really made me feel cheap. I just wish I was more outgoing so I could have maybe said something nasty back to him..

I never do that...Nope... I personally think that it's rude (it might also have to do with the way my mom and dad brought me up) and has no real point. If I see somebody I like, I smile at 'em and keep on walkin'

So what about in private? Is it ok to whistle at you then?
P.S. It is rude to do that to someone you don't know.

I would never whistle at a lady. I asked to squeeze her melons. You know the story April.

happens to every girl. the whistling, the hollers. it's annoying. sometimes merits a middle-finger raise, and rarely needs to be answered, much less acknowledged.

Its much more insulting to us guys, wait let me explain this........ I'm walking with my girlfriend at the blue crab festival in florida and a truck full of guys whistle at her. You would think that if anyone should be offended it would be her. But they're whistling at her when I've got my arm around her for crying out loud! Like saying that I don't matter nor could I do anything about it. Yeah I think I was more offended than her....
