hallo fellow LOTR fan ^_^ i'm a late-bloomer in the Tolkien world. we've had the books for ages, since i was a kid actually, but i stubbornly ignored them, even when PeterJ got everyone hooked into that realm. then of corz, i had to watch the movies, and i couldn't watch em without reading the novels, so here i am, finally acknowledging that the fuss was well worth it i still maintain though that of the three, the movie-version of return of the king was where PeterJ took the most liberties. that was the movie i least liked, mostly because of the treatment of faramir and especially denethor. i have to admit though that the rest was a faithful portrayal of Tolkien's vision. and damn, the detailing was impressive. i've only seen the first dvd's features, but hell, production-wise, PeterJ, his team, and WETA workshop did real impressive work. anyway, welcome may i ask why you're studying sanskrit? am curious.

I liked the first film the best... and the treatment of the Elves is really wonderfull ... Galadriel and Arwen are portrayed in such a way that old Tolkien himself would have claped
My parents came to India for some research, and I got interested in Sanskrit. It's an ancient language which is still used in religious things by everyone, and it contains a wealth of literature, philosophy, and even ancient science and mathematics that predicted that the earth was round much before the europeans. Anyweay, I've got a passion for long-lost secrets... and for philosophy. That's why I'm studying Sanskrit.

A little bit about the Shade. He's 25 and lives atop a mountain in Maryland about 5 hours from the ocean. He comes on at first as a dark individual and can be a bit intimidating if you don't know him. Behind the image is a really sweet guy and a wonderful friend. Though he has few friends, he is loyal to every one of them. He lives at home with his grandparents and has a pet fish named Hyper. This fall, Shade will be attending college studying to be an IT (computers). Following his graduation, he hopes to start his own small business and work from home. Shade writes and sings songs, builds websites and lots of other stuff when he's bored. www.planetshade.vze.com if you want to go deeper.
