how's new year going for you so far?. does it feel like a new year? I mean, it's going... If you consider that the end of last year was a pain in the rear end. So I'm expecting the start to be no different, really.

Not much of a difference here either. 2023 was such a shit-show for me that I was very glad to see it over. I was hoping 2024 was going to be better, but we ended up having to drop a few thousands of dollars on a new oven and microwave so I don't have very high hopes. I'm still trying to embrace the new year by sticking to one resolution of keeping up with my reading more this year though. I planned out an A-Z reading challenge and I'm on the 5th book, out of 26, plus finished 2 bonus books so far. Granted, I did start the challenge at the end of November but I'm going to say I still feel accomplished. emily, how were you not prepared for it?
