maria hit puerto rico pretty hard. they're talking about 20 years of rebuilding. i don't know much about the country but i do know they make amazing coffee. the kind i get is called yaucono. best coffee available today. santo domingo and tim hortons are a close, close second. so i thought if you want to help out and in return have the best coffee out there buy some yaucono. i know it's gonna take a lot more than that to help rebuild the country but it's something. and i know my coffee... this is the real deal. i'm not sure where to find it on the west coast (amazon might be a good bet), but on the east coast in florida there's a place called amigo foods. they get all sorts of latin america coffee and food. anyway here's the coffee from that site, like i said it's not much but hey. www.amigofoods.com/cafecoffee1.html

Nice! Yeah, I'm sure every little bit will help though, in situations like that. We usually just get our coffee from Costco. When we passed through Sedona, AZ last winter, we picked up this amazing coffee called "Wake the Fuck Up." Lol, it's really strong! I use it as a backup for whenever we run out of coffee and haven't been able to make it to Costco to get more.

Nope, what is that?
We didn't have a lot of time, just enough to take a quick walk through the town and see a little bit of its beauty, before needing to get back on the road for the second 12-hour drive. We'll be making the same drive next month, on Black Friday actually, but I'm not sure if we're stopping in Sedona this time. On the way there we'll be in Flagstaff or Phoenix, depending on the weather.

as a fellow book nerd, i can tell you this... you will flip out. the place is off the hook - books, movies, comics, music. and it's all half whatever the cover price is! i blew 100 bucks when i was there last.

Ohhh, so it's like a Half-Price Books? Yeah, I LOVE stopping in places like that. I'll try to see if we can fit a stop in on the night we get there, if we're not too dead-tired from the drive. Last time, we were so exhausted from the drive that all we wanted to do was sleep... at like 6pm! Haha. But hopefully this time that won't be the case, since I will be able to help with the driving (we made the drive in a manual transmission vehicle, which I can't drive, but have since traded in for an automatic). Even not driving, it still wears you out being in the car for 12 hours straight.

i hate sleep and being tired, lol. i fight it. i just have so much to do. my bed time is usually 4am. all my friends, except one guy, don't stay up late with me. i'm talking even when they don't have to work in the morning.

I try not to drink coffee anymore, get's me all fired up but then I just don't feel good. Maybe it's a crash after the caffeine, I don't know. Just feel ill.
But, tons of friends that do and I'll point them towards it. Wish the mayor San Juan wasn't such a...well, dick. They're still finding pallets of supplies from the states not handed out.

i prefer coffee instead of alcohol, energy drinks, or anything. i have so much work to do that it keeps me steady. i feel like i'm drinking the earth!
yeah, the us has special people that investigate how much damage is "really" done because countries lie about how much money/resources they need to fix the disaster. i read an essay on this a long time ago.
the us government is the most giving in disasters - by far - of all other countries.
