Ugh, so I'm a little tired of all the forum drama on one of the forums I help to moderate. I'm apparently losing my position there because I wasn't "active enough" ... I guess logging in every day and checking up on my areas, keeping them clean and spam-free, starting up competitions and posting around isn't cutting it there. ???
Seriously, and the admin is the worst, he complains about his staff's "lack" of activity, yet he hardly even posts himself! That's not how to run a forum, that's how to drive people away from it.
Another staff member posted up a response, sticking up for me and what I've been doing for the forum to help, and I'm debating on whether or not I should post something as well, because he got the main point across, and now it's turning into a sort of fight in the staff board. But I have to admit, I agree with every single thing he said.
And now I just got a PM from the admin, apologizing for what he posted, and asking me to stay on board. Ugh, such drama!

Was never a big one for drama on a forum, it just seems silly to me. We had some on my forum when I first started it and was new. Once that passed, it never happened again. If anything comes up now, it's stopped before it can really get going. I have two staff members, and they are people I've known for a long time and share my sentiment and that I consider friends. Never say never, but it's not conducive to a healthy forum and I don't want it around.

Yep, that's exactly how I feel about it too. And I've been lucky enough to never really have to deal with it here on CYN either, because I'm like you, I've only had staff members that I've actually known for a long time as well. There was a slight incident with one of my staff members way back when we first started but it was a case where I'd known the guy and talked with him for quite awhile and he kinda went a little psycho on me when I wouldn't take our "relationship" (which I never considered more than friends in the first place) to the next level. And of course, he decided to take it out on my forum. Sometimes you just can't predict what people will do. I remember exactly which forum this thread is referring to though. And it's no longer active.
